Thank you to the numerous individuals and organisations that have provided
financial support and products to help with set-up costs..
Since opening the cafe in December 2019 we have received glowing reviews (100% five star to date), excellent coverage in the local press and even a slot on ITV Local News.
We have 5 paid individuals with learning disability in paid employment. We have received applications and interest from more than 30 local individuals and would like to be able to offer more jobs.
We are looking to further develop our facilities. Our next priority is to purchase a commercial dishwasher and open up the rooms beyond the current customer and kitchen area.
Other plans include renovating our existing toilet to be fully accessible. We also have a courtyard
that will be perfect for outside tables and growing some produce and flowers.
Extending our facilities will focus on creating greater community involvement and
providing more disability employment opportunities. Ideas are welcome!
We are applying for grants and extending our fundraising campaign to move this forward.
